Children’s picture books is my first love. But gravitating towards chapter books more and more.
I feel like I may not be able to do justice with topics about loss or grief or being differently abled.
Diverse books like ‘A Dupatta is…’ by Marzieh Abbass. And lyrically written picture books like ‘Milloo’s Mind’ by Reem Faruqi.
I also enjoy clever books like ‘Tricky Chopsticks’ by Sylvia Chen.
I have always loved to write but now want to take my journey towards traditional publishing. A huge stumbling block for me though is the dearth of critique groups around where I live. I’m hoping to cultivate a lovely community here where I can give as much as I receive.
