I am a harried homemaker, who daily battles three children and a basset hound. I hope to meet people who will share their skills in creating better stories.

I am looking for someone who will be straightforward and honest. Someone who will be as enthusiastic to read my work as I will be to read theirs. As I am new to sharing my work with others, I am also new to being a critique partner. I need someone who can be a mentor, showing me the best way to help others.

I write a little bit of everything. From poetry to non-fiction to manuals, I have dabbled in it all. I can find enjoyment writing anything.

Nope.

Shadow of the Wind, Pride and Prejudice, Devil in the White City, The Blade Itself, anything Edgar Allen Poe, When He Was Wicked, Seabiscuit, Strunk and White, 1984, Alas Babylon, Hunger Games, The Republic of Pirates, Taming of the Shrew...how long can I go on?

I have dabbled in writing contests for a few years, never winning one--a fact that I hope to change one day. I have a self-published children's book with Amazon that has sold exactly 15 copies, ten of which I bought. Nevertheless, undaunted, I have written one full length novel, several other half-written novels (all still vying for my attention), over a hundred poems, and a dozen short stories "with potential." Sadly, I have found that I've become stagnant, not for lack of desire, but because I've been writing alone. Over the years, I have drunk dry the well of help that my poor, put-upon family and friends can share, bless their patience. Hence, my appearance here. I hope to meet people who will share their skills in creating better stories. Perhaps too, I can provide helpful thoughts for others. It is my hope that this might be the beginning of a few beautiful relationships--the start of my writing family.
