The perfect critique partner should have 2 things: honesty and a desire to be published. I'm looking for honesty in critiques of my work. They should give constructive critiques of my story structure and readability. I am also looking for partners who share my goal of publication and who will read my work with that in mind. I want to build a community of friends to share the rejections as well as the happy announcements on this crazy journey.
I primarily write picture books but am also working on a middle grade historical fiction.
I am not comfortable critiquing anything above middle grade.

I am a former teacher of gifted students who challenged me daily and gave me plenty of ideas for great stories. I am now a stay at home mom to two teenage daughters who challenge me daily and give me plenty of ideas for great stories! The stories I made up for my girls when they were younger are finally being written in the hopes that other children will love them as much as my own have.
