I would like a dedicated critique partner for feedback on picture books. The book that I currently working on is about 500 words long.
I would like someone who has experience writing picture books.
I would like someone who is clear and kind with their feedback.
I don't mind lots of feedback 🙂
I am an educator, so my books tend to have strong, positive messages for children (in addition to hopefully being funny and engaging).
While I have hundreds of research articles and several academic books published, children's literature is an entirely different genre! One of my children's books has been picked up by a publisher and will be published in the next few months. I am now working on my second picture book. I would love feedback from the writing community (or from a dedicated critique partner) on that picture book! Thank you!
I only want to critique children's picture books (ideally less than 600 words). I am likely not best for sci-fi or fantasy.
Non-fiction
Picture books with clear messages or that are humorous (or both)
I am a Professor of Education, and while I read and write academic texts all the time, I am primarily interested in focussing on children's picture book writing at the moment.
I enjoy picture books that have positive, self-affirming messages for children. Empowerment and living authentically and courageously are themes that run through my books.
