I'm looking for a friend that can help me with big picture developmental edits and also character development. Also, an extra set of eyes on dialogue to make sure it sounds realistic and true to the characters. I am hoping to go the traditional publishing route so someone that plans on the same journey would be ideal. I like the compliment sandwich approach, but I do want honest feedback. I really want to perfect my craft and make my WIP the best it can be.
I am currently working on a YA mystery. My current (working) comps for this WIP are Pretty Little Liars meets Gossip Girl, but at a boarding school.
I also have a YA fantasy that is currently shelved for the time being.
Harry Potter of course. I really enjoyed the Private series, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Truly Devious, The Hunger Games, the Gallagher Girls/Heist Society series. I haven't read a book that I've been OBSESSED with in a few years, so I would love recommendations! Let's chat about books!
I have written many books in the past, but they have never been anywhere near ready for querying, were more just for me, and I really didn't do real revisions on them. I am currently working on my first book that I am serious about (many drafts, revisions, edits) and hopefully with the help of a few CPs! I love Game of Thrones and Marvel movies, I also enjoy playing the sims. In college, I strayed a bit from my creative side and got a BS in Biology so I would love to make more writerly/creative friends again!
