I write short stories that could be qualified as literary, experimental, quirky, humorous, dark, sometimes sexually explicit.
I don't feel qualified to critique how a piece fits into a specific genre: I do read across genres, but don't know any specific "scene" enough to comment. I'm happy to provide a general (literary) critique on any genre, though.

Author names that come to mind right now are Salinger, Bukowski, Coetzee, Auster, EM Forster, Brian Conn, Somerset Maugham, Joydeep Roy-Bhattacharya, Kamel Daoud, I'm not sure this list means anything, lots of classics, lots of history and philosophy
I also write in French (poetry and novels) and have worked as a literary translator from English to French (30+ novels translated).
