I'm hoping to find someone who interacts a lot with the text, who points out what did or did not work in the narrative, and who isn't afraid to hit me over the head with a grammar rule book. Someone to help me stay accountable and encouraged would be great too, but not necessary by any means!
I'm definitely a stronger editor than I am a writer. I prefer to provide line-by-line feedback, but have no problems being more of a cheerleader or writing partner if that's what you need!
Novels, short stories, poetry and once a play
No gore, please, I have a light stomach.
Count of Monte Cristo, Captain Blood, Sherlock Holmes, Sir Pagan, Around the World in 80 Days, Confessions of Saint Augustine, Life of Pi, Mr. Malcom's List, When Rishi Met Dimple, The God of Small Things. . .
A kick-butt single parent by day and kick-butt single parent by night, I like to fill my bits of free time with reading, bookbinding, and (this is going to shock you) WRITING. Both traditionally and self-published, I'm best known for my short stories, poetry, and making books and hiding them in public spaces.
I'm currently working on a romance novel set in the Golden Age of Piracy (most likely the 3rd wave, but not solidified yet). The only reason this could qualify as a science fiction novel is that there are sky boats thrown in, but there's no major world-building.
