I'm open to honest suggestions from all writers. It would be wonderful to receive feedback from someone passionate about children's lit and/or lyrical prose and rhyme.
Children's literature with lyrical prose / rhyme.
I love to read and would be open to critiquing anything, though I'm a novice in the industry. I feel most confident critiquing children's lit submissions / manuscripts.
In Children's Lit: Where the Sidewalk Ends, The Lorax, Mary Poppins, Peter and Wendy. But among my current favorites as an adult are historical fiction books by Kate Quinn, Verity by Colleen Hoover, Educated by Tara Westover, Lisa Jewell, Liane Moriarty, and memoirs that make me laugh out loud (Colin Jost) to name a few. And I'm currently reading Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros.
While I have written throughout my life, I have only recently started a more serious attempt at getting my work published. I self-published a book through Kindle Direct Publishing during COVID, called 'Use Your Words Little Jersey'. I wrote and illustrated that book, though illustrating is not an easy task for me.
My husband and I have four children ages 13, 11, 8, and 8. We also have a crazy Frenchton pup named Bonsai.
