Someone who has a good ear for words. Looking for structural criticism as well as editing, and I can offer the same.
Picture books for older children. I seem to always operate outside the box. I'm working on three very different books. I've illustrated the first book, "The Cat who Walked the Camino", a tale of adventure, history, religion, culture and language as my hero walks across Northern Spain on the Camino.
No vampires, please! PB through YA. I'm a good editor.
The classics: George MacDonald's books, Pipi, The Wizard of Oz books, Dr. Doolittle. I love Jane Yolen's Owl Moon, Stone Angel, and Tam Lin. Also Jess Keating's science books. I have recently added to my collection "Twenty-One Elephants" by April Jones Prince, "Ice Harbor Mittens" by Robin Hansen, "More" illustrated by Brian Lies, "I feel better with a Frog in my Throat" by Carlyn Beccia, and "Little Red Writing" with pictures by Melissa Sweet.
I love old-fashioned illustrations rather than computer generated cartoons.
