Simply, I'm looking for someone who will provide honest and constructive feedback. Someone who will tell me what is not working and any ideas they have that may both elevate and deepen the story. I will happily (and kindly) do the same.
I write literary fiction, magical realism, horror, and occasionally, narrative nonfiction. I often don't know how to categorize my short stories, so your help would be appreciated?
I'm not familiar with romance, historical fiction, educational writing, and specifically, genres that would require specific knowledge.
- Near the Wild Heart by Clarice Lispector
- Zami: A New Spelling of My Name by Audre Lorde
- The Hearing Trumpet by Leonora Carrington
- All Fires the Fire by Julio Cortázar
- 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami
- Drive Your Plows Over the Bones of the Dead by Olga Tokarczuk
- Rosemary's Baby by Ira Levin
I graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in writing. My focus this year has been to submit my stories to literary magazines and to work on everything I've been dreaming about for years.
