Someone serious about writing. Preferably, someone who writes at a fairly quick pace and would have a new manuscript to swap every 1/2 year to year. I have several CPs already, but I seem to write faster than many of them, and so they've ended up reading 2-3 manuscripts of mine in the time I've read 0-1 of theirs, so I start feeling bad sending them new work!
I'm happy to just swap work. But if we click, I'm also the kind of person who will also send random emails back and forth chatting about writing and life. I'm quite happy to say I consider several of my CPs friends at this point, and am looking forward to meeting one of them in person in the very near future!
I can critique any speculative YA (Fantasy, Sci Fi, Horror, etc.) as well as contemporary if it's a thriller or mystery. I can also critique adult fantasy.
I started out writing YA Fantasy dark edge. Basically, all things dark, creepy, fast-paced and twisty with lots of monsters and often morally ambiguous protagonists. I've since branched out into adult as well (which I feel is a better fit) and also plan to try MG horror as a fun experiment.
I am gay, so most romantic subplots I write are f/f.
I do occasionally read fluffy contemporary, but it's so far from what I write, I wouldn't be a good CP for it. Same with genre Romance or romcoms.

I've been a Pitch Wars mentee twice and have queried five novels.
Outside of writing, I love to travel internationally, hike and rock climb.
