I'd like to work with someone who enjoys reading romance even if it's not what you write. I hope to find someone who understands my vision, but who has a slightly different perspective than me. I'm most interested in plot and character feedback. I also have some issues with repetitive sentence structure I need help with.
I'm currently working on a romance novel. I've billed it as an erotic fairytale because even though it's in a contemporary timeline it has elements reminiscent of some of my favorite fairytales-- a heroin in distress, a mysterious hero who comes to her rescue, sort of, and an instant connection between them.
I'm willing to critique any genre except for works that contain a lot of graphic violence, like slasher horror.
More than favorite books, I have favorite authors. Stephen King, Edgar Allen Poe, K. Alex Walker, Khaled Hosseini, Ernest Gaines, Isaac Asimov and Victor LaValle are a few of them.
In my day job I work as a Math and Science teacher, something that's not nearly as much fun as it used to be. I've recently decided that trying to pen the many storied that have been floating around in my head for years is the perfect midlife crisis.
